I'd much much much rather have a game that has a timer on it, but that means that high cover actually does something and I'm not getting crit killed by a thin man when I'm behind high cover. Because of the camping issues it meant the hit percentages and such had to be ridiculous. Now my tactical choices are influenced by whether I have dinner plans? That always frustrated me.Īdditionally, making XCOM harder wasn't just about AI. OR I can choose a suboptimal strategy and take 1 hour. What I mean, is that the optimum strategy on an xcom mission might meant taking 2 hours real world time. when the 'strategy' of the game interferes with my real world life, the tactical aspect breaks down completely. Overwatch camping was the worst part of XCOM. Everyone should try to play the game they enjoy, but man, I couldn't disagree more.
